Having obtained his degree in Singing at the Istituto Musicale “G. Paisiello” in Taranto, he makes his debut at the Festival della Valle D’Itria in Martina Franca in Cimarosa’s Armida Immaginaria recorded live by Dynamic.
He starts out as a lyric baritone in the roles of Figaro, Taddeo, Gaudenzio, Dandini, Belcore, Malatesta, etc.. in some of Italy’s most important opera houses (Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Verdi in Florence, San Carlo in Naples, La Fenice in Venice…).
He then switches to tenor repertoire making his debut in Cavalleria rusticana (Turiddu) at Teatro Marrucino in Chieti; in Aida (Messaggero) at the San Carlo in Naples and in Taormina; in Norma (Flavio) in Catania with June Anderson and Gregory Kunde, in Taormina and at Petruzzelli in Bari; in Nabucco (Ismaele) at Politeama Greco in Lecce, in Bari and in Taormina; in Turandot (Pong) in Taormina, at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, in Naples, at the Terme di Caracalla, in Bari, Verona and Palermo; Poliuto (Nearco) for the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo and Sassari; I Masnadieri in Naples; Tosca (Spoletta) in Taormina, at La Scala in Milan and in Bari; Madama Butterfly (Goro) at Teatro Massimo in Palermo, at La Fenice in Venice and in Naples; Otello (Rodrigo) in Bari; Lucia di Lammermoor (Normanno) and Il Trovatore (Ruiz) at La Scala in Milan; Falstaff (Bardolfo) in Bari; La Traviata (Gastone) in Venice, Bari and Naples; Macbeth (Malcolm) in Bari.
