Born in Russia, a pupil of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow – ha ottenuto il primo premio sia al Concorso Obratztsova nel 1999 che al Rimsky-Korsakov nel 1998.
She was part of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera in New York where she made her highly acclaimed debut in Ariadne auf Naxos (Zerbinetta), which she then sang in Los Angeles, Madrid, Pittsburgh e Parigi, Spoleto USA Festival in Charleston.
She then sang: I puritani (Elvira) in Palm Beach; Lakmé and Così fan tutte (Despina) at the Spoleto USA Festival in Charleston; Un ballo in maschera (Oscar), Werther, Falstaff (Nannetta), Die Fledermaus (Adele), L’italiana in Algeri (Elvira), Boris Godunov (Xenia), Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Blondchen), Don Pasquale and Die Zauberflote (Pamina) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York; Die Fledermaus (Adele) at the Glyndebourne Festival – broadcast on tv and available on dvd – which earned her a Christie Award, and at the BBC Proms with more than 8,000 people at the Royal Albert Hall; Lucia di Lammermoor and L’Italiana in Algeri in Washington; Roméo et Juliette in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Amsterdam and Dallas; Betrothal in a Monastery in Valencia and Glyndebourne; Die Ägyptische Helena, L’Arbore di Diana and L’incoronazione di Poppea at Teatro Real in Madrid; Der Rosenkavalier (Sophie) with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and at the Bolshoi in Moscow; Massenet’s Manon in Palermo; Un Ballo in maschera (Oscar) in Houston; Handel’s Orlando in Valencia; Rigoletto (Gilda) in Washington and Austin; Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra) in Glimmerglass; Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna) in Dallas, Palm Beach, Pittsburgh, Glimmerglass and Seoul; Norma (Adalgisa) at the Bellini Festival in Catania; Die Zauberflöte (Pamina) at Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires; Olimpiade (Aristea) at Festival Pergolesi in Jesi; Demetrio e Polibio (Lisinga) at Teatro San Carlo in Naple; Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Olypmia, Antonia, Giulietta, Stella) in Tel Aviv; La Traviata in Seoul.
She has worked with prominent conductors such as: Levine, Conlon, Benini, Jordan, Jurowski, Runnicles, Dantone, Nagano, Lacombe, Mauceri, Bychkov, Joel, Villaume, Fedosseyev, Minlowski, Cambreling, Plasson.
On film she can be seen in The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh and conducted by James Colon in the role of the Queen of the night.
She also enjoys an intense concert activity which saw her performing also at the Irina Arkhipova International Opera Festival in Russia, at the Ludwigsburger Schloßfestspiele, in concert in Moscow with Placido Domingo in the Red Square, with the Russian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pletnev, at Theater an der Wien with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra conducted by Fedosseyev, in arias by Viennese operettas with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra conducted by Julius Rudel.
She just released her first solo cd of Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij and Sergej Vasil’evič Rachmaninov songs with piano for Nimbus Alliance.
