Biography

Born in Genova, he started studying singing, after graduating from high school, at “Niccolò Paganini” Conservatory in his home town and then continues them at the “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatory in Alessandria.

He has won several international competitions, among which the “XIX Concorso Internazionale per Cantanti Lirici Spazio Musica” in Orvieto.

He has been then selected by Scuola dell’Opera Italiana of Teatro Comunale in Bologna.

His brilliant carreer immediately leads him to perform: Gianni Schicchi (Marco), Così fan tutte (Guglielmo), La traviata, Madama Butterfly (Sharpless), Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro), L’elisir d’amore (Belcore) and Don Giovanni at Teatro degli Industri in Grosseto for Spazio Musica under the guidance of M° Maurizio Arena; La traviata (Giorgio Germont) directed by Henning Brockhaus at Teatro Verdi in Busseto in collaboration with Teatro Comunale in Bologna and Teatro Regio di Parma for the opening of the Verdi Festival, at the Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque (New Mexico) with the Symphonic Orchestra of New Mexico, at Opera Giocosa in Savona with the Orchestra of Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, in a project by Nanni Garella in collaboration with Arena del Sole and Teatro Comunale di Bologna; Don Pasquale (Dottor Malatesta) at Teatro Comunale di Bologna; Rigoletto (Marullo) for the Verdi Festival in Busseto; Don Giovanni at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova directed by Rosetta Cucchi; Maria de Rudenz (Rambaldo) and Il campanello (Enrico) at the Wexford Festival Opera; Die lustige witve (Danilo) at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari directed by Federico Tiezzi; Così fan tutte (Guglielmo), directed by Ettore Scola, and L’elisir d’amore (Belcore) in the historic production by Luzzati and directed by Filippo Crivelli at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Colla’s Delitto e dovere (Arthur Savile) directed by Paolo Gavazzeni and Piero Maranghi in the world premiere at the 60th Spoleto Festival and at Teatro Coccia in Novara (recorded and broadcast by Sky Classica HD); La bohème (Schaunard) for Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese conducted by M° Nikša Bareza.

He appeared in concert at the “Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques – Théâtre Lyrichorégra” in Montreal, Canada.

Among his recent and future engagements: Un giorno di regno (Cavalier Belfiore) at Festival Verdi in Parma; Don Pasquale (Malatesta), La bohème (Marcello), Die lustige witve (Danilo) and Pagliacci (Silvio) al Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Vivaldi’s Dorilla in Tempe (Admeto) conducted by Diego Fasolis at Teatro Malibran in Venice; the title role in Gioachino Rossini’s Guglielmo Tell directed by Arnaud Bernard in Como, Cremona, Brescia, Pavia, Bergamo and Pisa as winner of the 70th As.Li.Co. International competition; L’elisir d’amore (Belcore) at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; La traviata at Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania in a movie-opera version for Sky Classica HD; Carmen (Dancairo) at Teatro San Carlo in Naples and at Terme di Caracalla for the Rome Opera; Carmina Burana at Isola d’Elba; Iphigénie en Tauride directed by Emma Dante in Pavia, Brescia, Como, Cremona; the Gala Fuoco di gioia at Teatro Regio in Parma for the Verdi Festival Verdi; La bohéme (Marcello) at the Sofia Opera; Die Zauberflöte (Papageno) at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.
